The tube is made of tin-plated food tinplate.
Length: 8.5cm

Recipe:
Dough:
- 400g all-purpose flour
- 250g butter (or half butter and half Hera)
- 200ml whipping cream
- 1 level tablespoon vinegar
- pinch of salt
Filling:
6 egg whites and 360g caster sugar.
Instructions:
Make a dough from the ingredients, let it rest wrapped in the fridge overnight.
Roll out the dough with a light sprinkling and cut it into strips. Roll the strips onto metal tubes. Brush the rolled cream horns with beaten egg yolk.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C.
To prepare the meringue for the cream horns, add 360g caster sugar (granulated sugar) to six egg whites and start beating over a double boiler. Beat for about 10 minutes.
Let it cool to thicken. Dust with powdered sugar and it's done.
