Wafer Paper is an edible starch-based paper. It has a neutral taste and a slightly ribbed surface. Wafer Paper can be used in many ways. It is suitable for photographic cakes (but can only be used on a dry surface such as marzipan or fondant), edible labels, decorations, or menus. Do not use on colored fondant as Wafer Paper is slightly transparent. Additionally, Wafer Paper can be baked in the oven during the last third of baking with bread, rolls, or pastries.
