White, extra elastic paste with excellent properties, suitable especially for covering cakes and modeling figures.

Smartflex Velvet is an ideal covering paste for all pastry chefs and baking enthusiasts. This paste is designed to meet even the most demanding requirements for covering cakes and modeling figures. Its snow-white color and fine texture will give your desserts an elegant look.

Ideal uses:

Covering cakes – creates a smooth surface without cracks

Modeling decorations – bows, flowers, figurines

Coloring with gel or powder colors

Tip: For modeling taller decorations, we recommend letting the paste dry slightly or adding a bit of sugar/cornstarch.

Composition:

Sugar, Glucose syrup, Drinking water, Vegetable fats (coconut fat, hydrogenated palm kernel oil), Starch (edible potato starch), Thickener: xanthan gum, Flavor, Preservative: potassium sorbate, Acidity regulator: citric acid

Instructions for use:

Allow the paste to reach room temperature.

Cut the desired amount and work until pliable.

If too firm, heat in the microwave for 5–10 seconds.

Roll out on a surface to about 4 mm thick, slightly larger than the diameter of the cake + height.

Transfer to the cake (by hand, rolling pin, or using a silicone mat).

Smooth with a cake smoother, trim any excess.

Storage:

After opening, store in a plastic bag and airtight container to prevent the paste from drying out and hardening.
