Template - Slencil - fine, flexible, bendable plastic.
Used to create a delicate pattern on the surface of a cake, pastry, muffin..... Can be used with powdered color, glazes, various creams, spray paints, airbrush, Royal Icing.
Place the template on the covered cake. Using a palette knife or cake scraper, apply a thick layer of icing on it. Then carefully remove the icing from the template with a palette knife and gently peel off the template. Let the pattern dry.
To enhance the effect, you can brush over with powdered or liquid pearl color after it has dried.
