Using Formix covering paste is fast and efficient. The white color of Formix covering paste allows you to mix a wide range of colors. Its almond flavor will satisfy lovers of real marzipan.
The optimal temperature for working with this covering paste is 22 °C. Knead the paste for a few minutes before coloring (temperature and thorough kneading really matter. Formix is the key to success), until the paste is malleable and elastic.
If the paste is still too hard, you can briefly (about 5-10 seconds – depending on the size of the heated paste) put it in the microwave. After coloring to the desired shade, let it rest for at least 1 hour.
Before covering the cake, knead the paste again thoroughly and roll it out into a 2-4 mm thick sheet. You can roll out the paste on food-safe film or dust it with sugar to prevent it from sticking to the base.
With Formix covering paste, you can cover cakes. It is also ideal for making various figures, flowers, and decorations on cakes. The paste can be added to the filling between the layers of the cake.
