Stencil - Fine, flexible, bendable plastic.
Used to create a fine pattern on the surface of a cake, pastry, muffin..... Can be used with powdered color, glazes, various creams, spray colors, airbrush, royal icing.
Place the stencil on the covered cake. Using a palette knife or a pastry scraper, apply a thicker layer of glaze on it. Then carefully remove the glaze from the stencil with a palette knife and gently peel off the stencil. Let the pattern dry.
For an enhanced effect, once the glaze is dry, you can brush it with pearlescent powdered or liquid color.
