Place the stencil on the covered cake. Apply a thicker layer of glaze on it with a palette knife or a cake spatula. Carefully remove the glaze from the stencil with a palette knife and gently peel off the stencil. Let the pattern dry.
To enhance the effect, you can paint over the dried pattern with pearl powder or liquid color.
