Structural - Impression Mat
This structural mat is ideal for use with a range of edible and inedible materials, such as fondant, modelling paste, marzipan, or craft clays (e.g. Fimo, clay), both sides of the mat can be used, one side will create a raised pattern on the fondant and the other side will be textured. The impression mat will create a diamond pattern. Suitable for decorating cakes, muffins...
Usage:
1. Knead the fondant and roll it out to an even thickness, dusting as needed with powdered sugar or cornstarch.
2. Choose your desired side of the mat and place it on the fondant.
3. Press the mat firmly onto the fondant and roll over it with a rolling pin or press down with your hands to ensure the pattern is imprinted evenly.
4. Remove the mat and inspect the design.
5. Enhance the final effect by spraying with edible varnish.
Note:
If using the mat with food materials, it should be stored separately from tools used with non-food materials.
